At the end of November members Cambridge Judo took part in the London Universities and Littleport open competitions. Many people won medals at the two events and Cambridge came 3rd overall in the medals table, despite only entering 6 fighters.

Littleport Open
Four members of the club competed at the Littleport open 3star senior competition. Alex Farnsworth won gold in the U100 kg kyu grade category, winning both his fights with ippon. A very good performance considering he hadn’t even done randori in the last 6 years! Dave Saxton won his first fight but lost his next two narrowly losing in the fight for bronze. Peter Mann fought in his first contest and had some tough fights in the U90 kg group. Kane Chandler won Bronze in the U81 kg Dan grades.
