Advanced training, experienced players only

All welcome, especially beginners

Saturday 14.30-16.30
Mixed ability training, red belts and above

Session times include time for cleaning of the floor mats.

As a mixed University-City club, we train all year long (an exception being around Xmas and New Year’s Day).

  • £2.50 for University of Cambridge students
  • £3 for other students
  • £5 for non-students

Monthly payment plan

If you are a beginner, please simply come to the next Thursday session at 8-10pm in the University Sports Centre!

You will need:

  • To introduce yourself to one of the coaches
  • Wear Judogi OR comfortable tracksuit bottoms or shorts (without zips or fasteners, if possible)
  • Water
  • Slides (You must not be bare foot off the mat)

women's JUDO

Women in judo have a long tradition and here at CUJC we have many enthusiastic female judoka, both university and city players. Apart from providing an excellent training facility CUJC provides a very friendly and social atmosphere with lots of activities off the mat.

If you are interested please come along to one of our sessions to try out or continue doing Judo!

Competitive Judo

CUJC is a competitive club and we offer top quality training for experienced Judoka, especially on Tuesdays (Randori). 

Every year we take home a host of medals at BUCS and other national competitions, and also defeat our O*ford counterparts at Varsity.

We are a club with over 90 active members including 7 coaches. We are a social club and organise a variety of fun events throughout the year ! Some of the highlights include the Christmas dinner, the Marburg Helsinki friendship week, and our Summer garden party!
