Competitions this term!

As a competitive Judo club we encourage our members to compete as much as they can. This way we can prepare ourselves for both BUCS and Varsity next term. Below are a few good competitions for this term we’ve been to in the past. The club will sponsor half of the entry fee for students, and this for up to 2 competitions per term.

We also encourage student to seek financial support from their colleges (in the form of small grants) to compete, and we are happy to help out with the application (letters of support etc.).

1. Eastern Area Closed – Thetford, 4th Nov (Please get in touch by the end of this week if interested)

2. London University and Colleges Senior Open – London, 11th Nov (students only, please get in touch by the end of this week!)

3. Littleport Open – Littleport, 25th Nov (perfect first competition for lower grade players! But good fun for higher grades as well and close to Cambridge)

4. Sheffield Uni Kyu grade tournament – Sheffield, 1st Dec (orange to brown belts)

If you are interested in going to any of these competitions, please talk to either Tom (cujc-menscaptain@srcf.net), Ben (cujc-social@srcf.net) or Mihai (cujc-secretary@srcf.net) so we can arrange signing up, transport and coaching.
